Ask yourself, would the outcome have been any different if the victim had been a young girl and the predator a male? Or better yet, an ugly male? I believe the answer is yes. Beauty trumps justice.

Just because society places a higher value on female virginity than male virginity does not make it right. The 14 year old in question was coerced into a sexual relationship by a female predator - a woman who was in a position of power as his teacher. His abuser walked today. Time will only tell what kind of psychological and emotional damage she inflicted on her victim.
