- I live and work in Des Moines. My friends think I'm opinionated. I've also been told I have an odd sense of humor and a strange way of looking at the world. Well - all the better to write a blog. Most recently, I have started clowning as a hobby. As a newly minted “Joey,” I am still learning the ropes - working on my magic tricks, gags and balloon twisting. Clowning adds yet another dimension – a wacky and fun one - to my already busy life.

My "refund" will merely go to pay my next quarterly estimated, and maybe half of the 2Q one. Come 2Q, U will owe some, and 3Q, owe a lot. Unless I lose my job and have zero earned income.
Hey LF - sounds like you file Schedule C. I used to do that when I was a freelancer. It really bites the big one - my condolences.
The smartest thing we ever did was start paying someone else to do our taxes for us.
The "flat tax" idea sounds better to me every year.
