Too darn hot

We're hiding out in the house today. Temperature is expected to reach 96-97F with a heat index of 105 - 110F. The lights are off (where possible) and the shades are drawn to help maximize the cool. It's like we're in a house of mourning.

The new swing set we built yesterday sits in the backyard. Darling daughter will have to wait until things cool off this evening to go out and play. When it's this hot, it's dangerous to be outside.

Things could be worse. I could be in Baghdad.
