This was just too weird not to post.
Refrigerator raider takes food to go
A Des Moines retiree reported his refrigerator was burglarized on Sunday. David Shelton, who lives in the 100 block of East 33rd Court, reported an unknown person entered through his unlocked back door and took off with an array of edibles: 12 frozen dinners, six cans of soda, a loaf of bread, five small packages of food and one large package of meat. The groceries were valued at $21.49.
A trail of packaged meat was found leading toward East 32nd Court, but no refrigerator raider was found. According to the police report, other neighbors also have reported refrigerator burglaries.
The good news is the police have some pretty good leads and are confident they are close to making an arrest. Click here to see a sketch artist’s picture of the suspects.

No joke - this really happened. Must have been a slow news day.
