Doesn't every mom feel like she's spinning in circles? A blog with a little bit of everything - politics, religion, family, Iowa, pop culture, scrapbooking, books, travel, work, clowning, stupid stuff and whatever else I decide to write about...oh, and don't forget Des Moines! There's always something to do around here. All I ask is when you say "Des Moines," please don't pronounce the "S."

It will be nine years next month since I went to Normandy and saw the 10,000 crosses. It was so moving. It is one thing to read 10,000 died in a battle and it is entirely different to see all those crosses. I have a lot of friends that I grew up with that are over in Iraq and Afganistan.
I haven't been to Normandy but I would like to go. I've seen pictures but I'm sure it doesn't do it justice.
